Last winter I visited a cocktail bar with a friend and happened to have a drink that blew me away. Instantly had me going down the rabbit hole. What began as pre-sleep Redditing soon became a weekly mission - to take one classic cocktail, do the research, go ingredient hunting, make it the right way, and serve it the right way, as if for a customer at a cocktail bar.
The fascination soon blossomed into a hobby (much to the delight of friends and colleagues, who I also bartended for at their parties with custom menus and whatnot).
